Application
Concrete surfaces must be clean and sound prior to the application of the product. Cleaning will open the surface pores and capillaries in order to enhance the penetration process. Compressed air can be used to remove dust and loose particles from the surface.
Flushing the area to be treated with water can improve the cleaning process, however for heavily contaminated areas, special concrete cleaning agents can be used to remove dirt especially those contaminated with oil. To treat the area above the ground level or where there is no presence of negative side moisture, the area to be treated has to be saturated with water and the standing excess water has to be removed 24hours prior to the application of MULTISEAL.This is must to facilitate the growth of the hydrated crystals.
SUPERSHIELD MULTISEAL 100 can be applied to concrete surfaces in one single coat by means of spraying.
Coverage:
It is recommended to apply SUPERSHIELD MULTISEAL at an average rate of 150 to 200 ft2/gal (200ml /mē) in one coat.
